一夜台北

We have to wake up on 5.30am ,the next day for breakfast,

Makes no difference for us as this is our daily reveille timing .

After Breakfast,We took the four hour bus ride to 六福村

Our scrumptious meal b4 going to 六福村.

How to play all the rides after such a heavy meal?

So We decided to visit the Safari first to allow digestion .

But we got high while we saw the first attraction and

decided to take the Sahara Twist ride as a appetizer.

We took the train ride around the Safari.

It was about 20min long.

I witnessed this in Shanghai zoo and I saw it again here.

After the slow and boring train ride,We can't wait to try something that is thrilling.

Hence we tried the Ring of Fire,The 360 degree turn around ride.

Then ,we tried the Pagoda Revenge Free Fall ride.

Its not as scary as the one in Genting.

I had a lot of fun playing this ride .

Its more than it meets the eye.

It flipped me up side down while it spins.

Sadly ,This adventurous ride was closed for maintenance on that day.

After a day of craziness and high time in the theme park.

We head on to Taipei for the night.

We checked in to our hotel -Hotel Flowers.

We were so fortunate to be given the family room and I get to sleep on the king size bed.

The bath room is also very spacious.

You can choose to shower in the cubicle or in the bathtub.

Not to mention that there is a plasma tv too.

Everything was perfect until I encountered something spooky and wasn't able to sleep well through the night.

Our hotel is just walking distance from the well known Xi Men Ding

There wasn't much to shop as the price range of the products

are much higher than the ones in the night market .

We stopped by a Bubble Tea shop and wanted to try out the different bubble teas that wasn't available in Singapore.

Its quality was indeed comparable to Koi.

Next Stop:Shilin Night Market.

We went to the reputable dessert stall

and tried their pudding and ice dessert.

Mango Pudding.

The Mango just melts in your mouth.

Milk tea with Red Bean.

Its the hot seller but I don't think it taste very nice.

Another hot seller Peanut Ice with rainbow topping.

You will get sick of the taste after while.

Next, we went to the Shilin Food court.

Another Local Cuisine-Crispy Chicken!

We spent way too much time on food hunting and only left one hour to shop.

We ended up running around like mad men,trying our best to do last min shopping.

In the end,I got separated with my friends when they decided to wait for me at the end of the night market while I continued shopping.

but I couldn't find them there.

Hence ,I went back to the hotel on my own.

If only they heed my advice and not spent too much time on food,

It will be a fruitful shopping trip.

One night in 高雄

It may seems like I have a hell lot of fun in Taiwan from all the uploaded pictures.

Many may wander if I was there as a soldier or as a tourist.

Don't be deceived by what you see!!

As I was forbidden to post anything that is related to training due to security reasons.

So,You didn't see any pictures of me suffering in training.

Anyway ,My first 16 days in Taiwan was really shitty.

The living condition was bad as we slept in the Bangala bunks .

Climbing endless hilly terrains was physically tiring and mentally challenging.

I guess I will never forget the training i went through in taiwan.

On the hindsight ,I witnessed my first typhoon ,

Thank God for it as it disrupted our training program.

16 shitty days end in an instant and we begin to embark in the last 3 days of Party,Fun and Laughter

The first stop of the tour -Mao Pi Tuo.

It used to be a coral reef but it dried up and formed the shape of a Cat Nose.

Our Second Stop-National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium

Taiwan 's version of underwater world.

Its touted to be the biggest in Asia.

This Aquarium is way better than the ones I visited in China.

But its not as big as it means .

There also alot of bogus 3D effect aquarium to ensure the place doesn't seems so empty.

3rd Stop:Xin Jue Jiang,KaohSiung.

This shopping distinct is known for its latest fashion for youth.

Korean Inspired retail Stall.

This place is also one of Monga 's filming location.

Coz they are from JC.

Due to time constraint,I couldn't shop as much as I want .I heeded my friends advice as they told me that there is a wider variety of products in the shops in Taipei and they could be a lot more cheaper so I only bought 2 bags of clothing.

The Famous Kou Rou Zi Jia-selling a wide variety of bbq meats.

Next we ventured to another famous night market -LiouHe Night Market.

We tried the noodle burger

and the pork chop burger.

We went to the Taiwan style desert stall.

And tried the 8 treasure Ice dessert.

Along the way .....

We saw this Blind Men Massage palour

and Dancing hall.Such places could not be found in Singapore.

We decided to walk back to our hotel from Liouhe Night Market

but we got lost and ended up in an arcade

Since we have some time b4 the curfew ends ,

we played our beloved ancient arcade game -Journey to the west 2.

We stayed in the 3 star Dou Shi Hotel.

After staying in the bangala bunk for 16 days ,staying in the hotel was just HEAVENLY.

There is even a hot tub for me to have a good warm bath.

If only there was more time given ,we could have shop more and explore more places.

I definitely want to go back to Xin Jue Jiang as I wasn't satisfied with my shopping spree.

I am back!!!!!!!

Touched down in Singapore on 30 Sept 10,1.40am..
I have been recuperating these two days to recover my lack of sleep .
As I had survived on 4-6 hours of sleep on a daily basis for the past 3 weeks.
Nonetheless ,Taiwan didnt disappoint me.
The last 3 days of R and R was Awesome !!!!
I havent got enough of all the Sight seeing ,Crazy shopping and Self Travelling
I wanna go Taiwan again!!!!
Cant wait for the Grad trip next year.
