Hey !!I am back with my Day 2 journey in Shanghai.
Sorry ,I took sometime to publish this post.
As I have to upload all the 75 pictures .

Rise and Shine for day 2

The window view of the city.

The grand condominium outside Shaun 's mum office.

It is suppose to be an artistic shot..
but Shaun dun know how to capture the right angle.

We went to Gui Lin noodle stall near Zhong Shan Metro station.
We ate Beef ball noodle soup...and
the delicious Portuguese egg tart.

YUM YUM

If u can spot carefully,u can see a red understwear hung on the tree..

I took several pictures of the streets and buildings

As We cabbed to 七浦路

We are staying at the sub-urban area.

Hence,We don't get to see tall sky scraper .

Instead ,we are surrounded by old buildings.
Whoever says Shanghai is a beautiful city did not step out of the CBD area.

七浦路 is a whole-saler market where you can find the best deals in town .
Whoohoo!!!!
We had a great time shoppppppppppppping

We went to the modernistic restaurant -Babala to dine.

We ordered many exotic and colourful deserts

The tasty Escargot Plate

Japanese-style pizza

The place is well decorated with glamourous Decor.

Look at Shaun gluttonous face after the sumptuous dinner..hahaha

Jonice and I spent sometime camwhoring
while the food digest in my stomach.

The Famous Oriential Pearl tower

We went to The Bund aka Shanghai Tang aka Wai Tan.
We walked from Peace hotel and sorta got lost ..
Eventually with the guidance of the locals

We found the place...

Fans of 命中注定我爱你 will remember this place.
This is where Dylan ask Xinyi to be his girlfriend.

Fans of 珠光宝气,
This is the place where Terence and Constance had their date in Shanghai.

Isn't it Splendid !!!

No wonder The bund is voted the world top 3 water front.
Our marina bay lookd pale in comparision .

A better angle of The Ortiental Pearl Tower.

Neon-light Poem on the building.

And yesss its very windy and cold....

The wind is very strong Jus look at jonice 's hair .

Sadly ,we didnt manage to take the Huang Pu river cruise
which takes us to Yang Tze River.

冰糖葫蘆

Shaun and Jonice 's Fav snack

They muz eat at least one stick every night.

We went to Nanjing East Rd to eat our Supper.
Saw this interesting piece of art.

We went to this very well-known and highly publicised restaurant ,visited by many celebrities.

Zai zai bbq Fish.

口水鸡 and 滨皮

Oyster

The signiture dish -BBQ spicy Fish

We ordered the local Qingtao and Harbin Beer.

Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Auntie and Jonice got a little tipsy

There are many celebrity pictures hung all over the resturtant.
Edison 's picture caught our eyes
See how they describe him
Porn Star...
hahahaha

Jonice is buying 冰糖葫蘆 again....

Shaun trying to be artistic....

On the cab home ,I saw this interesting temple

Insteading of going straight home,We decided to explore the neighbourhood.
We saw this fruit stall..

and found this cool internet cafe...
some of them are watching movies online...
managed to note down some of the websites...
HEHEHE

The barber shop is actually a brothel..
We walked pass it and immediately one woman came out of the shop..
and we never went back to the same route

Home sweet home...we are so shagged...

Shaun and Jonice complained my snoring disturbed thier sleep....

Watch out for Day 3 -
I visited the European style town-Xing tian Di

Escape to Shanghai Day 1

Arrived at Terminal 3 .
All these years I have been dreaming, waiting for a vacation .
At last....my dream came true after 9 years....

All geared up for the trip.

Terminal 3 looks so classy

Here we go...
We are travelling by China Eastern.
It is known for its "Worst Airplane Experience".
However ,It did not live up to its expectation
The airplane is not as bad as what the critics says.
The food was alright.
They served a wide variety of drinks,eg Qingtao beer
The aircraft is also very clean.
The only problem is the plane is too small and is very crampy.
That is a trade off between cosiness and comfort

We thought we could have a good rest on the plane
Sadly,we are disturbed by ignorant freaks from SMU.
They keep hovering around the craft to look for empty seats
Instead of sitting down ,they squatted on their seats and chat among themselves like nobody business.
maybe its their first time taking a plane ride.
No wonder they behave like $%^$%^#$%$%

Shaun is struggling with 耳敏 while the plane is landing.

We reached Pudong airport.
I could feel a sense of austere.
The place is very quiet and i could see police everywhere.
Somehow I dont feel welcome by the communist country.
There is even a Big " QUIET" sign at the arrival area.
Why cant they be more polite?

This is car park that is directly opposite the airport.
It looks like an abandoned place .
This shows that Shanghai airport cant NEVER surpass Singapore.

We are welcomed by a chauffeur
Wow...so grand...we had our moment of being a rich man 's spoilt brat.
Jonice 's face reflects light.

We reached Shaun 's mum house.
She brought us to the nearby food store to have supper.
We ordered 老鸭面 and kwey tiao...
It tasted abit salty, but I liked it.

On the way home, the big umbrella is sheltering another food stall

This is Shaun 's mum apartment.
The void deck looks abit eerie, remind me of those haunted apartment in the Hong kong horror film.
but the interior layout of the apartment is different,
It is cosy and comfortable.
This is the end of the first day of my vacation.
Watch out for day 2
-I visited the Legendary Shanghai tang

I am Back!!!!!!!!

Just recovered from Vibrio parahaemolyticus...
I wasnt feeling very well when i woke up on the last day of the vacation.
I thought it was just a normal headache
but it got worst when I got on the plane..I had a sudden fever..
Kept pestering the air stewardess to give me water and cold tower..
Thankfully I managed to touch down at Singapore alive...

I google (
Vibrio parahaemolyticus)

Here is what i found

What is Vibrio parahaemolyticus?

Vibrio parahaemolyticus is a bacterium in the same family as those that cause cholera. It lives in brackish saltwater and causes gastrointestinal illness in humans.

What type of illness is caused by V. parahaemolyticus?

When ingested, V. parahaemolyticus causes watery diarrhea often with abdominal cramping, nausea, vomiting, fever and chills. Usually these symptoms occur within 24 hours of ingestion. Illness is usually self-limited and lasts 3 days. Severe disease is rare and occurs more commonly in persons with weakened immune systems. A physician should suspect V. parahaemolyticus infection if a patient has watery diarrhea and has eaten raw or undercooked seafood, especially oysters, or when a wound infection occurs after exposure to seawater.

I ate oysters and sqiuds and tons of seafood during my vacation in Shanghai.muz have got it from one of the creatures...

okie....dont want to bore u with the details of my illness..I will upload the pictures of my vacation soon...there is about over 1000 pictures..muz carefully select those that will showcase the hightlight of the trip..a picture speaks a thousand words right...
